We're introducing two significant changes to HireAra: a refreshed design and a new way to organise candidate content.
A fresher, more modern look
HireAra has a new look. We've updated our colours, layouts, and overall design for a cleaner, more modern experience. Your workflows haven't changed — everything works the same way, it just looks better.
A new way to manage candidate content
The biggest change in this release is how candidate content is organised in HireAra.
Previously, each document in HireAra was its own separate record. If you needed two versions of a CV for the same candidate — a spec CV and a tailored version, for example — you had to re-upload or duplicate the document each time, with no easy way to see all versions together.
With this update, each candidate now has their own dedicated profile page where all their documents live together — spec CVs, tailored versions, landing pages, and any other content you've created for them.
What's on the candidate profile
Candidate details. The candidate's name, most recent role, and contact details (email and phone) are shown at the top of the profile — making it easy to identify who you're working with at a glance.
Document thumbnails. Each document is shown as a visual preview so you can see what each version looks like without opening it.
Template and file name. Each document card shows the template used and the file name, which is editable directly from the card.
Owner per document. You can now assign an owner to each individual document — previously, ownership could only be set at the candidate level. The assigned owner will receive an email notification when ownership changes. You can still change the owner of the entire candidate from the candidate list.
Using candidate profiles
📌 Note: The steps below vary depending on whether you use HireAra with a CRM integration.
Standalone users
If you use HireAra without a CRM integration, here's what's changed for you.
Opening a candidate. Clicking into a candidate now takes you to their profile, where you can see all documents created for that candidate in one place. Previously, clicking a candidate would take you straight to a document.
Creating new content. To create a new document for a candidate, open their profile and click Create content in the top right. All documents you create will appear on this page going forward.
Integration users
If you use HireAra with a CRM integration, here's what's changed for you.
Opening a candidate for the first time. When opening a candidate in HireAra for the first time, you'll still pick from the available files in your CRM as usual.
Returning to a candidate. When opening the same candidate again, you'll land directly on their candidate profile in HireAra, where all previously created documents are shown in one place.
Creating content from a different CRM file. If you need to create content from a different CRM file for the same candidate — for example, an updated CV — you'll need to delete the candidate in HireAra and start fresh.
Creating new content. To create a new document, click Create content in the top right of the candidate profile. Any documents you've previously created for this candidate will also appear here.
How to access this update
We're releasing these changes in stages, so they may not be available to you just yet. You'll receive an email ahead of the changes going live for your account.
