How to delete candidates and CVs in HireAra

With the recent site re-organisation, there are now different ways to delete content in HireAra depending on what you need to do. This article covers how to delete individual documents and full candidate records.

For standalone users

Deleting a specific document

If a candidate has more than one document (e.g. two CVs), you can delete an individual document without removing the candidate entirely.

  1. Open the candidate profile.

  2. Navigate to the document you want to remove.

  3. Click Delete on that document.

  4. Confirm that you want to delete it.

The document will be removed, and the candidate profile will remain with the other document(s) still attached.

Note: You cannot delete a document if it is the only one on a candidate profile. If you need to replace a candidate's only document, you'll need to delete the candidate and re-upload — see below.

Deleting a candidate

If a candidate only has one document and you want to remove or replace it, you need to delete the candidate record itself. You can do this from two places:

  • From the candidate profile — open the candidate and select the delete option.

  • From the candidate list — select the candidate from your list of all candidates and delete them from there.

Once deleted, you can re-upload the candidate with their new or updated document.

When to delete a candidate

You may want to delete a candidate from HireAra when they've been in your CRM for a while and have since sent you an updated CV that you'd like to use instead of the old one.

How to delete a candidate

  1. Open the candidate in HireAra.

  2. Click the Delete Candidate button.

  3. Confirm by selecting Delete.

After deleting, you'll be taken back to the file selection screen. This screen shows all the files currently available for that candidate in your CRM, so you can select the updated CV and re-parse it in HireAra.
