Anonymising templates in HireAra is a simple yet powerful process to ensure candidate details are hidden from hiring managers, focusing solely on skills and experience.
Follow this step-by-step guide to create an anonymised template.

Create a Template
Log in to your HireAra account.
Click the Templates section on the branding page.
Create a new template or open/duplicate an existing one.
Familiarise yourself with the sections you plan to anonymise, such as:
Candidate Name
Profile
Education
Job Experience
Anonymise Candidate Name
Delete the candidate's name from the template.
Click @ and type id, then select Identifier or External ID.
Alternatively, if you're integrated with a CRM, you can select External ID.
Delete the candidate’s name in the file name section.
Replace the name with the Identifier or External ID.
Anonymise the Profile Section
Go to the AI Builder in the Branding section.
Create a tag and call it Anonymous Executive Summary.
Input in the prompt section:
Write an anonymous executive summary of the candidate. Don't mention company names or candidate names.
Test the output to ensure it meets your expectations.
Click Save on the anonymous summary and return to the template.
Delete the existing profile section and add @Anonymous Executive Summary.
Anonymise Education Details
In the AI Builder, create a new tag and call it Anonymous Education.
Input in the prompt section:
Write out the candidate's education in this format:
[Certification], [Dates]
Test the output to ensure it meets your expectations.
Click Save on the anonymous education tag and return to the template.
Delete the original education section in the template.
Add the Anonymous Education tag.
Anonymise the CV Section
Replace company names with an Anonymous Company Description.
Press @, type Anonymous, and select Anonymous Company Description.
The AI will generate a general description of the company.
Remove months from employment dates.
Preview the Final Output
Upload a CV with your new anonymised template.
Ensure no identifiable information is carried over:
The candidate’s name is replaced with identifiers or an External ID.
The executive summary, education, and Role descriptions are anonymised.
Dates are simplified to years only.
Ensure no personal or identifiable information remains in the template.
