Here’s a detailed step-by-step guide based on your Loom video on customising the Experience and Education sections in HireAra using AI tags.
Customise the Experience and Education sections using AI Tags
With the new update in HireAra, you no longer need to rely on free text blocks and manual AI tag insertion to control the formatting of your Work Experience and Education sections.
Instead, you can now embed AI tags directly into structured experience or education items.
What this means
Previously, formatting customisations required using free text fields with AI tags.
Now, you can configure parsed data AI prompts and apply them directly within the education or experience sections, giving you the flexibility and structure you need.
Create Your AI Prompts
Navigate to the AI Prompts area.
Click Create Prompt and name your prompt.
Example:Custom Company Size.Enable Advanced Mode, then select Parsed Data Prompt.
Select the section to apply the prompt to:
Experience Item or Education Item.
Paste your prompt logic.
Example: a prompt that extracts or formats the company size.Test the prompt and then click Save.
Repeat the steps to create additional prompts, such as for:
Custom role descriptions
Highlights
Any AI-generated text tag
Apply Prompts to your Template
Open the template you want to customise.
Replace standard fields with your AI tag fields:
For example, replace
CompanywithCompany Size.Replace
Commentswith yourText Tag.
If needed, use a different design variant of the section:
Some variants include defaults like Start Date / End Date that can be retained.
You can also select the blank design for a fully customised layout.
Re-apply the template structure with your updated tags.
Make the Template live and test it
Ensure your template is marked as Live.
Upload a candidate's CV and apply the template.
Observe the output:
The structured fields now reflects your custom AI formatting, like company size or detailed bullet points.
Check that formatting aligns with your intent.
Tips and Notes
Be specific with your prompts: Avoid vague instructions like “Do this for every work experience”. This can cause the tag to generate repeated or redundant content across multiple entries.
Flexible Use: You can use this method to format text inline (like inserting company size) or generate entire work experience/education sections.
Design Matters: Different designs have different default fields; choose based on what you want to retain.
