Understand how to add clickable buttons to your templates so you can direct candidates to external pages such as your website, booking calendars, or recruitment site. These buttons work on both landing pages and exported PDFs.

Add a custom button to a template
Open your template in the editor.
Go to Advanced Features, then drag the Buttons element onto your template.
Select Custom as the button type.
Configure the button link
You can configure your button using one of the following link types:
Standard URL: Enter any external website link into the link field.
Recruiter calendar link: Use dynamic tags to automatically insert each recruiter’s personal calendar link.
To use a recruiter calendar link:
Add the calendar link as a tag in the template.
Ensure each recruiter has their calendar link added to their profile defaults.
When a recruiter uses the template, the system automatically inserts their personal calendar link.
Style the button
Select the button element in your template.
Update the text to display your chosen label, for example ‘Learn more about us’.
Adjust the design by changing the background colour, width, corner radius, and borders.
Test the button
Preview your template to check the button layout.
Create a landing page or export a PDF, then click the button to confirm it directs to the correct link.
Add an Access Attract button
Access Attract buttons are available for Volcanic customers and include automatic UTM tracking so you can monitor candidate activity.

Add a Buttons element to your template.
Select Volcanic as the button type.
Enter your Volcanic website URL.
Style the button
Select the button element.
Update the text, width, corners, borders, and colours to match your branding.
Understand UTM tracking
When a user clicks an Access Attract button, the system automatically appends UTM parameters to the URL:
UTM source: Displays ‘HireAra’ in your analytics.
UTM campaign: Includes a unique landing page identifier so you can track which page the user came from.
You can view this data in your Access Attract analytics to measure the performance of your landing pages.
