Overview
HireAra allows you to add clickable buttons to your templates that can direct candidates to your website, booking calendars, or Volcanic recruitment site. These buttons work on both landing pages and PDF exports.
Adding a Custom Button
Custom buttons let you link to any external URL, including your company website or individual recruiter calendars.
Steps to Add a Custom Button
Open your template in the editor
Navigate to Advanced Features
Drag the Buttons element onto your template
Select Custom Button Type
Configuring Your Button Link
You can add two types of links:
Standard URL: Enter any website link directly into the link field.
Recruiter Calendar Link: Use dynamic tags to automatically insert each recruiter's personal calendar link. This is useful for booking meetings with candidates.
To use calendar links:
Add the calendar link as a tag
When a recruiter formats a CV using this template, HireAra will automatically insert their specific calendar link
Recruiters must have their calendar link (HubSpot, Outlook, or any online calendar) added to their profile defaults
Styling Your Button
Once you've added your link, customize the button's appearance:
Text: Add custom button text (e.g., "Learn more about us here") and style it using the text formatting options, including color changes.
Button Design: Adjust the button's appearance by changing the background color, width, corner rounding, and adding borders.
Testing Your Button
After styling, preview your template to see the button in action. When you create a landing page or PDF from the template, the button will be clickable and direct users to your specified link.
Adding a Volcanic Button
If you're a Volcanic customer, you can add buttons that include UTM tracking parameters to monitor traffic from HireAra to your Volcanic website.
What is a Volcanic Button?
Volcanic buttons create interactive links on landing pages that automatically include UTM parameters. This allows you to track in your Volcanic analytics which candidates came from HireAra and which specific landing page they originated from.
Steps to Add a Volcanic Button
Add a button element to your template
Select Volcanic as the button type
Enter your Volcanic website URL
Styling Your Volcanic Button
Style the button the same way as custom buttons by adjusting the text, button width, corners, borders, and colors to match your branding.
Understanding UTM Tracking
When a candidate clicks your Volcanic button, the URL will automatically include:
UTM Source: Shows "HireAra" in your Volcanic analytics
UTM Campaign: Contains the unique landing page identifier, allowing you to track which specific landing page the candidate came from
You can view this tracking data in your Volcanic website analytics to measure the effectiveness of your HireAra landing pages.
