🌍 Step-by-Step: Translating a CV
Open the CV you’d like to translate.
Click the dropdown menu in the top-right corner of the editor.
Select “Translate”.
Choose your target language from the list of supported languages.
💡 Note: By default, dates (like “July 2021 – August 2022”) will remain in English. To translate these as well, you’ll need to apply custom dates first. See below for how to do that.
📅 Translating Dates with Custom Dates
If you want your date formats to appear in the selected language too (e.g. “Juillet 2021 – Août 2022” in French), you’ll need to enable custom dates before translating.
Here’s how:
Open the Dates tab in the editor.
Turn on Custom Dates.
Enter translated month names and formats as needed (e.g. "Juillet" instead of "July").
Then return to the Translate CV option and apply your translation.
This ensures full language consistency across the entire document.
⚠️ Things to Keep in Mind
Translations are applied automatically — we recommend giving the final CV a quick review before sending it off.
You can always undo a translation using the Undo button or version history.
Not all languages are currently supported — if you don’t see the language you need, let us know!
